• Scale of fees or arranging a fees agreement?

The remuneration of a lawyer complies with the Federal Lawyer’s Scale of Fees (BRAGO).

For certain legal work there are certain fees specified. The amount of fees conforms with the value of the subject matter – so to speak, the amount of money involved.

On the other hand, it is also possible to arrange a fees agreement, e.g. an agreement on a fixed hourly rate or a fixed package fee.

Depending on the type of work, the remuneration of a patent attorney is also based partly on BRAGO and partly on a fixed fees agreement.

• What does legal expenses insurance cover?

Legal expenses insurance will cover court costs and the cost of legal advice and representation. However, it is certainly wise to check beforehand, whether the case at issue is insured at all. Of course we will be pleased to do this for you and clarify it with your insurer.

• How to obtain subsidies?

As far as subsidies are concerned (e.g. for start-up companies or patent applicants), we can gladly put you in touch with competent contacts throughout the region.
